We get it, healthy habits aren’t the most alluring of pastimes. But what if we told you that it’s probably because you don’t yet have the essential tools to create your habit in the first place?
You see, habits are actually a routine, a practice, or a pattern. And once learned, they’re hard to give up. You’ll find you need to go for that run, your body will crave the chia goodness, and you may even turn your phone off after work in favour of retreating to your zen den.
It’s crucial for these routine rituals to be created properly because you can’t rely solely on your motivation to keep you motivated. And that’s where we come in.
In this energetic workshop, Psychologist Lucy Morrish will help you get your wellness journey on track. She’ll cover which habits are best for you, how to get started and - most importantly - how to stick to them.
This is about connecting your mind with your body, and helping your future self perform at its finest. As well as covering nourishing food choices and the importance of an active lifestyle, we’ll also be forming strong mental health habits.
Creating a habit is a journey, not a quick fix. You will learn how to give yourself a break, and the importance of setting realistic expectations.
All you need to get started are your good intentions. We’ll fill in the gaps, and when you walk out, the foundations of your healthy habits will follow.
